Vitamins

Vitamins play a huge role for healthy skin and hair. Using shampoos, conditioners, and masks that contain vitamins A, B, C, E and minerals such as calcium and magnesium will repair damaged hair while locking in moisture. Products should not contain sulfates. Sulfates strip the hair of natural oils and can damage your hair.

Avoid too much gel and hairspray. Overdoing it with hairspray and gel can damage hair. For a softer, more natural look, do not spray directly onto hair but instead keep it at a distance when you’re spraying. Hair products such as gel and mousse should be lightweight to avoid a hard crunchy look and dandruff.

Diet

What you put inside your body will show on the outside including your hair. Foods containing good fats such as salmon and walnuts, which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, will improve the health of your hair and scalp. Also include in your diet dark green vegetables, lean meat, and low fat dairy products.
