Beautiful Woman Face

The makeup trend of strobing has become extremely popular in recent months.  What is it exactly? Strobing is basically another way of saying highlighting, a makeup technique artists have been using for years. The idea is to use illuminating products on the areas of your face where the light hits, to create a healthy looking glow. Some of the areas include: the highest point of your cheek bone, the tip of your nose, down the bridge of your nose, along your brow bone, above your eyebrows, and on the cupid’s bow of your lip.

brushSeems like a lot of daily work to get that glow, don’t you think? What if I told you ladies that you could put the fan brush down and enjoy a natural looking glow, that didn’t come from a compact? Those of you wanting permanent healthy glowing skin sans makeup should consider seeking a consultation with a dermatologist or aesthetician regarding skin rejuvenation.

At Advanced Dermatology, especially, there are so many options for patients to shed their dull looking skin. Here are some of your options with us:

Microdermabrasion: This procedure is nonsurgical and nonchemical and offers reduction in appearance for a long list of issues including, age spots, fine lines, acne scars, and other minor imperfections on the face. Not only does the procedure shrink pores, but it aids in improving uneven pigmentation in the skin. It has been proven that Microdermabrasion is effective in creating new collagen, which thickens the skin giving you a tighter, younger, glowing look.

Chemical Peels: As the name implies, this procedure does in fact enlist the use of chemicals to enhance the appearance of skin. Once the chemical solution is applied the dead skin cells begin to separate and peel off of the epidermis. Many patients found a decrease in pore sizes, but mainly patients report a healthier, more even looking appearance.

We also offer laser treatments:

Fraxel: The Fraxel laser works using Fractional Photothermolysis. This process treats only a small portion of the skin at a time, which removes different kinds of skin damage and reduces the appearance of certain skin conditions. Conditions this treatment can target: acne scars, surgical scars, melasma, sunspots, wrinkles, irregular pigmentation from the sun, enlarged pores, dull skin, and generally can make the skin more vibrant.
