LaserLite is a diode laser, which is a system that delivers a longer wavelength than some other laser types. This longer wavelength enables the light to penetrate deeper into the skin while avoiding the melanin pigment in the skin's epidermis. When utilized for hair removal, the light penetrates into the hair follicle, causing little epidermal injury. This fact allows the LaserLite technology to be used successfully on darker skin colors.
