If you are interested in Ultherapy, you will schedule a consultation with one of our Fresh Meadows dermatologists. During your consultation, you will discuss your area(s) of aging for which you are seeking improvement. To make sure Ultherapy is right for you, a full review of your medical history will be necessary. Your dermatologist will let you know whether Ultherapy or another non-invasive wrinkle treatment is best for your specific goals. When your Ultherapy treatment is scheduled, you will be provided with specific instructions to ensure the success of your treatment.
The Ultherapy treatment will be performed in the comfort of our Queens dermatology office. You will remain awake during treatment; although only mild discomfort is typically experienced, you will be provided with ways to minimize any discomfort. Once your face is cleansed, imaging will be taken to better determine which area(s) should be targeted. The Ultherapy transducer will be optimized based on your specific skin and then placed over your face. An Ultherapy treatment typically lasts about an hour, and you can immediately return to work and other everyday activities.
After Ultherapy, you may experience temporary redness, swelling or tingling in the treated area. Results may be noticeable immediately, although most patients see results within 2-3 months, as the collagen regrows. One treatment is typically enough to produce desirable results. Since Ultherapy does not stop or slow down the aging process, patients may desire additional treatments to maintain their results.
