As two of the most sought-after dermatology experts in New York, Dr. Lefkowitz and Dr. Troccoli each serve both our Manhattan and Nassau locations. Drs. Barazani and Applebaum specialize in laser scar treatment, and each has received distinctive honors from national organizations for being leaders in the field. Dr. Fox, meanwhile, is a skin cancer expert. As founder of the AAD Melanoma and Skin Cancer Prevention Program in Queens, an educator and an advanced researcher, he is highly involved in the Nassau community in the promotion of screening and early detection of skin cancer. Our Mexico native, Dr. Flashner is equally involved in community screening. She enjoys working with diverse patients and has devoted a part of her practice to understanding how patients of different skin tones respond to skincare treatment. Last but certainly not least in our team of dermatological experts is Dr. Fried. As a board-certified dermatologist of nearly four decades, Dr. Fried has seen it all. He specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of benign and premalignant skin lesions and is recognized as an expert in the field.
Our on-site allergist is Dr. David Erstein. He comes to our Roslyn Heights location with specialized knowledge in nasal and ocular allergies, asthma, and anaphylaxis. He is essentially our local allergy expert who has extensive experience with food and medication allergies, cosmetic and latex allergies, and insect sting reactions. Dr. Erstein understands that allergies can be a frustrating and seemingly never-ending experience. He works hard to personalize each patient’s experience and to calm these frustrations, tailoring his practice to each person’s individualized needs and expectations.
