Psoriasis is a common skin condition in which itchy, scaly, sore patches appear on the skin. Even worse, psoriasis can be difficult to diagnose and treat, causing great distress to those affected.  More recent.u extensive psoriasis has been associated with increased heart disease. While psoriasis typically occurs as a result of hereditary or environmental factors, a study has shown that vigorous exercise may reduce women’s chances of developing the condition. Is this too good to be true?

An Hour of Exercise a Week Could Help Maintain Your Psoriasis-Free Streak

Researchers studied a group of 85,000 women over the course of 15 years. The women were surveyed on whether or not they had psoriasis and how often they exercised. The study found that women who completed at least 1-3 hours of tennis, running or swimming were 25-30% less likely to have psoriasis in the future than those who exercised less often. This may be yet another benefit to exercise.
