Injectable Fillers

Injectable fillers can reduce wrinkles and other noticeable signs of aging on the face. Commonly used injectable fillers are made of collagen, hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, or poly-L-lactic acid. Each of these ingredients has unique properties, making it possible to treat most signs of facial aging and wrinkles without surgery.

Naturally produced by the skin, collagen keeps skin look young and taut. Collagen production naturally declines with age, leading to the formation of wrinkles. Collagen injections can restore collagen within the skin, restoring a youthful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid  is a natural sugar found within the skin responsible for the volume and hydration of the skin. Juvéderm, Perlane, and Resytlane are hyaluronic acid fillers. These fillers raise depressions that have formed on the face as a result of aging.

Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite, a natural component found within human bones. When injected into the skin, it boosts the production of collagen, which is responsible for maintaining the skin’s elasticity.

Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic material that causes the formation of new collagen. This injection gradually promotes the regrowth of collagen that has been lost due to aging, leaving you with a more youthful appearance.
