Dr. Richard A. Skolnik is board certified plastic surgeon in New York. After receiving his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, he completed his training in both plastic surgery and general surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital.

In addition to treating patients, Dr. Skolnik is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery, Chief of Residency Training in Aesthetic Surgery, and a member of the executive committee of the division of Plastic Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He actively conducts clinical research related to the use of LED light technology to reverse the effects of photo-aging. Dr. Skolnik’s expertise has been widely recognized among his peers and he has been a visiting professor of plastic surgery in China, India, Brazil and Peru. As a volunteer with the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, Dr. Skolnik has traveled overseas to treat children with congenital anomalies, such as cleft lip and palate deformities

Dr. Skolnik has frequently been named by New York Magazine in as one of “The Best Beauty Docs” and one of the “Top 100 Doctors” in New York. He has been a consulting editor for publications including “Breast Cancer the Complete Guide” and Good Housekeeping’s “Illustrated Guide to Women’s Health”. His media appearances include the Today show, The View, Good Morning America, CNN/fnn, and he has been interviewed by ABC, CBS, and Fox News on multiple occasions. He has also been featured in publications such as GQ, O, Vogue, Allure, New York Magazine, Elle, Shape, Elegant Bride, Men’s Journal, Marie Claire, Rosie, Self and news publications such as The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post.
