Karissa Ramos, MSPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology, with licenses to practice in both New York and Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Health Sciences with a minor in Nutrition from the University of South Florida before completing her Master of Clinical Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University – St. Petersburg.
Karissa’s passion for dermatology began early in her career while working as a medical assistant in the field, where she gained invaluable experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. This foundation inspired her to pursue dermatology as a specialty, combining her love for science, patient care, and the artistry involved in helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin.
Since becoming a Physician Assistant, Karissa has gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and other medical dermatologic concerns, while also developing expertise in cosmetic treatments and aesthetic procedures. She is dedicated to creating individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique goals while ensuring they feel educated, comfortable, and empowered throughout their care journey.
Karissa believes that exceptional dermatologic care goes beyond treating the skin—it is about building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them feel their best both inside and out. She is committed to staying current with advancements in dermatology and providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Outside of medicine, Karissa enjoys exploring new restaurants, experimenting in the kitchen, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is excited to continue serving her patients and bringing her passion for dermatology to her new role.
