Dr. Barry C. Silver is a board-certified dermatologist with nearly five decades of clinical experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Silver received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1972, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at the Medical College of Virginia in 1973, followed by his dermatology residency at Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, which he completed in 1976.
Dr. Silver spent 35 years with Summit Medical Group in Summit, New Jersey, serving as the senior dermatologist from 1976 to 2010. In 2010, he joined Advanced Dermatology, where he has practiced for the past 15 years, in both the Ridgewood and Paramus Park locations.
Throughout the majority of his career, Dr. Silver focused on medical and surgical dermatology, treating a wide range of skin conditions with an emphasis on patient-centered care. Over the past 15 years, he has expanded his practice to include cosmetic dermatology, combining his extensive clinical expertise with an aesthetic approach to skin health.
