Introducing the CoolMini™
The well-known and highly used CoolSculpting has recently came out with an applicator designed to target small areas of fat. One of the major treatment areas will be submental fat, also known as the “double chin”. Submental fat especially forms for a number of reasons: genetics, lifestyle choices, or age.
The CoolMini™ is completely non-invasive, ideal for patients that would like to opt out of treatments involving needles or other incisions. Because the procedure is non-invasive there is virtually no down-time; most patients were able to return to their normal activities.
The applicator enlists a cooling technology known as Cryolipolysis, to freeze fat cells. The one-hour procedure only targets the fat, not harming the surrounding tissue. For the next 1-3 months the frozen fat cells break down and naturally exit the body. Many patients have seen results as early as 3 weeks.
Once the fat cells are removed they are gone for good, but fat can return if excessive weight gain occurs. Your results can remain permanent as long as you maintain the weight.
